My Mom<\/strong><\/center>\u00a0\nEarlier today, I was listening to the lyrics for the song \u201cI`ll Always Love My Mama\u201d by The Intruders.<\/p>\n

\nShe brought me in this world<\/em><\/p>\nI was talking to my friend Nicole earlier this week and we both agreed that we appreciate our moms so much more now that we are moms ourselves. Bringing another life into the world is something that defies description. Once you actually do it yourself, you \u201cget it\u201d!<\/p>\n
Sometimes I feel so bad
\nWhen I think of all the things I used to do<\/em><\/p>\nEarlier this week, I was speaking on the phone with my mom. I had mentioned that her gift might get there a little bit late. Her answer made me cry. She said, \u201cI don\u2019t need a gift from you. You are my gift. You are the best daughter that a mother could have. You have never given me any trouble. You have been a blessing over the years.\u201d Later that night (after getting over being all misty and homesick), I wondered\u2026do all moms suffer from bad kid memory loss?<\/p>\n
Seriously, I am very fotrunate because my mom and I have (almost) always had a great relationship. There were<\/strong> a couple of months during high school when I was a horror though. Looking back now, I can\u2019t believe how selfish I was in my thinking. I was upset with my mom because 1. she couldn\u2019t be in two places at one time (working to keep a roof over my head AND attending all of the gazillion things that I was involved with) and 2. she couldn\u2019t miraculously pull money out of the air to get me my heart\u2019s desires (I wanted a car because \u201ceveryone else\u201d had one. Forget the fact that I couldn\u2019t even drive. Yeah, I know\u2026now.) Maybe time (but more likely, it\u2019s love) does heal all wounds.<\/p>\nTalking `bout mama
