I was going to write about my mom\u2019s last week visit, but I\u2019m not. I\u2019m missing her and home at the moment too much. It\u2019s so weird, but I miss my mom most AFTER just seeing her. Why is that? Anyway, I just hope that my kids and I have the same relationship (mutual admiration society) when they are adults!<\/p>\n
Rather, I decided to share one of my \u201cgo to\u201d recipes for two reasons. 1. We are discussing dishes in the \u201cAsk\/Answer\u201d section. 2. I have received several emails to participate in recipe swaps\/exchanges. I don\u2019t usually participate in them because they are too complicated. I feel badly, but I don\u2019t like to commit to more than I can actually do. So, this is my contribution to the main dish recipe file. (Later this month, I\u2019ll share my husband\u2019s banana bread recipe for the breads\/desserts file.)<\/p>\n
For the record, I am not a super chef like a few of my friends. I can cook well enough. I guess that it\u2019s all relative though \u2013 some of our single guy friends and some of our married guy friends whose wives aren\u2019t especially good cooks \u2013 tend to really <\/strong>like my food. My husband and I have people over at our home a lot, so I have some easy, basic dishes that I make.
