<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nI learned this chicken stew recipe from Reggie\u2019s Aunt Bertha. It was her southern mom\u2019s recipe, so I call it Grandma Julia\u2019s Easy Chicken Stew. As many of you know, more mature generations don\u2019t give exact ingredients so I had to play around in my kitchen a bit but this recipe is very close. As Aunty said,\u201cI knew you could do it.\u201d (So sweet!)<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nHere is what you need: three pounds of chicken wings (cut up with the tips discarded), two potatoes peeled and cubed, one can of drained green beans, four mini ears of corn, two big carrots \u2013 peeled and diced, one cup of frozen peas, four cloves of garlic diced, half a big onion chopped up, 28 ounces of crushed tomatoes, two cups of chicken broth, one tablespoon of seasoned salt, two teaspoons of black pepper and one teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You just put everything in a big pot, stir it together and bring it to a boil. Then, cover the pot, lower the heat and let the stew cook on low for three hours. This easy chicken stew tastes great served right away but in my opinion, it is even better the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n
