I love reading stories about kids who forgo birthday gifts<\/a> in order to give to kids in need. It\u2019s so sweet and heartwarming. However, that is not the reality when it comes to my kids\u2019 birthdays. Don\u2019t get me wrong\u2026both of my sons are great kids and they both give a portion of their time and money to nonprofits throughout the year. However, receiving gifts is definitely one of their \u201clove languages<\/a>\u201d so my\u00a0husband and I try to make their birthday gifts special. My oldest son Michael turned 13-years-old a couple of months ago. We already knew what he wanted (a cell phone) but I asked him what to get a 13-year-old-boy for his birthday anyway. Below are his top 7 birthday gift ideas for 13-year-old boys:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Fashion Gifts:<\/strong> Supreme<\/a> brand clothes are really special. I guess that every generation is obsessed with an expensive brand and Supreme is currently that brand for teens. Shoes are also important for boys at this age. As an affordable clothing option, consider the \u201cFight For Your Spot\u201d\u00a0(or\u00a0\u201cBeast In The Game\u201d<\/a>) t-shirt from our family\u2019s upcoming t-shirt line.<\/p>\n

2. Music:\u00a0<\/strong>Rap music is very popular. I am also very old\u2026I had <\/span>never even heard of <\/b>the artists that Michael mentioned. I went and asked my husband (who is an 8th-grade math teacher) if Michael was messing with me and making up the names. He was not. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie<\/strong>, Lil Uzi Vert<\/strong>, and Migos<\/strong>\u00a0are three groups that he mentioned. I hope that these kids are listening to the \u201cclean\u201d versions of their songs! Hope floats\u2026 \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
