Prettiest Mom<\/em><\/p>\nBefore I was a Mom<\/p>\n
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.<\/p>\n
I never thought about immunizations.<\/p>\n
Before I was a Mom \u2013 <\/p>\n
I had never been puked on.<\/p>\n
Pooped on.<\/p>\n
Chewed on.<\/p>\n
Peed on.<\/p>\n
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. <\/p>\n
I slept all night.<\/p>\n
Before I was a Mom<\/p>\n
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.<\/p>\n
Or give shots.<\/p>\n
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.<\/p>\n
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. <\/p>\n
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.<\/p>\n
Before I was a Mom<\/p>\n
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn\u2019t want to put him down. <\/p>\n
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn\u2019t stop the hurt.<\/p>\n
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much <\/p>\n
I never knew that I could love someone so much.<\/p>\n
I never knew I would love being a Mom.<\/p>\n
Before I was a Mom \u2013<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. <\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know that bond between a mother and her child. <\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.<\/p>\n
Before I was a Mom \u2013<\/p>\n
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.<\/p>\n
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,<\/p>\n
the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. <\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
