It has been a while since I last posted on the site. That is because my website went down on the last day of school (June 26th) and I am just getting it back up two weeks later. Initially, I was super upset at my former web hosting company but then I realized that this was kind of my fault. I had known that I needed to switch hosts for years, but I didn\u2019t want to be bothered. Moving thousands of emails and posts to a new server just seemed like too much of a hassle in my head. That \u201dounce of prevention\u201d quote was taunting me as I was being forced to switch hosts or lose all of my photos and written content forever. Since I don\u2019t scrapbook or keep many photo albums, the choice\u00a0to move was a no-brainer!<\/p>\n

During the time that the site was down, I had a chance to think about what I wanted this site to be about going forward. Life has changed a lot in the last decade since I initially started Mom in the City. At first, the site was geared towards moms of young kids because I was trying to figure out this whole parenting thing myself. Despite Sean\u2019s earnest attempts to convince me otherwise, I\u2019m now past the baby\/toddler\/preschool parenting years\u2026unless there is an \u201coops\u201d!<\/p>\n

I now have two wonderful school-aged sons (my oldest son went to a one-week church sleep away camp last week?!) and two businesses (content creation and web design<\/a>). Although different, the parenting\/life \u201cjuggle\u201d continues into the second decade\u2026and I love it.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s next? The great thing about moving (whether it\u2019s online or in real life) is that you get to decide what you want to keep, get rid of and add to your new place. Food, family fun with boys and the work at home mom (WAHM) lifestyle are the three areas that I get asked questions about the most, so those will be my main focal points\u2026along with anything else that I\u2019m personally focusing on at the moment.<\/p>\n

Thank you to those who have been on this parenting\/life journey with me during its various twists and turns. I\u2019m grateful for you and enjoy hearing about the various twists and turns of your lives too. Onward\u2026<\/p>\n
