In the \u201cYour Words\u201d section of the January \u201909 Real Simple issue, the question for the month was \u201cWhat is on your not-to-do list for 2009?\u201d<\/strong> I\u2019ll share more about my New Year goals\/resolutions in a later post, but I just love that question! <\/p>\n

My answer: Not to \u201cthrow my pearls to pigs\u201d. Practically for me that means to not give what is precious\/valuable to me (i.e. my time\/energy\/money\/etc.) to those who are unwilling (or unable) to appreciate it. In 2008, I realized that doing so (in various areas of my life \u2013 personal\/ work\/ etc.) really drained me and prevented me from being my best overall.<\/em><\/p>\n
