\nIf you have a budding scientist, then you will definitely want to visit the Nature Research Center (NRC), the FREE 80,000 square-foot wing of The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences<\/a> that was opened in April of 2012. In addition to a variety of exhibits, this section features some pretty amazing research labs. Not only do scientists conduct research at the Center, but visitors also get the chance to meet and interact with scientists. Visitors also have the opportunity to conduct their own hands-on experiments in the Center\u2019s three Investigate Labs. On a foodie note, The Daily Planet Caf\u00e9<\/a>, which is located in the NRC, is a great place to grab a bite after walking around the Center since outside food and drink are not permitted in the Center. The boys enjoyed their burger and fries and my fish and chips were great too. In any event, the photos below should provide a glimpse of what we saw (and ate!) during our trip to the Center\u2026
