\nWe slept in this morning (which was SO great) before going to a late breakfast at Big Ed\u2019s City Market Restaurant. The southern breakfast was wasted on the boys, because they just ordered BLT sandwiches, their latest food favorite. \u201cThe lettuce is watery\u2026\u201d Sean said, but they liked the bacon. I explained to him that he was just used to me making BLTs at home with Romaine lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce. Anyway, who goes to Big Ed\u2019s for BLTs anyway? Reggie and I ordered their famous breakfasts.\n

Reggie ordered the \u201cFresh Country Breakfast\u201d with eggs, applesauce, toast and two types of sausage. I ordered one of their famous \u201chot cakes\u201d with bacon. Both the sausages and pancake were exceptional. I let all three of \u201cmy guys\u201d taste my pancake and I still <\/strong>couldn\u2019t complete my dish. They are huge. Prepared with Big Ed\u2019s own homemade batter, they taste more like cake than pancake! The prices were reasonable, the service was warm and \u201cHow are you all doing today?\u201d friendly. Best of all, the restaurant was full of a mixture of both locals and visitors\u2026which is always<\/strong> a good sign.<\/p>\n

I am telling you friends\u2026I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Thanks to The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau<\/a> for including it in our itinerary for the weekend! I don\u2019t think that they have a website, but here is their information:<\/p>\n
