I\u2019m currently up to #12 (yes!) and I\u2019m going to \u201cup\u201d the number to 20. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I\u2019m sharing these recipes so that you can easily make Cinco de Mayo food. <br><br>The recipes and videos are from the two Mexican Food Network chefs (Marcela Valladolid and Aar\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez) whom I have met. Both chefs were warm, engaging and talented\u2026much like my \u201cin real life\u201d Mexican friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cinco-de-mayo-food\">Cinco de Mayo Food<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<center><\/center>\n\n\n<div class=\"print-this-button-shell\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"print-this-button\" onClick=\"parent.location='https:\/\/mominthecity.com\/cinco-de-mayo-food-from-mexican-chefs\/?printthis=1&printsect=1'\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Print This!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/button>\n<\/div>\n<!-- Print This Section 1 Start -->\n<div class=\"print-this-content\"><strong>Tequila Lime Shrimp<\/strong><br>\n<em>(Courtesy of Chef Marcela Valladolid for Sauza Tequila)<\/em>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><br>\n\u2022 1 pound large shrimp in shell (21 to 25 per pound), peeled and deveined<br>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon lime juice<br>\n\u2022 2 teaspoons Salt<br>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon kosher salt<br>\n\u2022 2 tablespoons Butter<br>\n\u2022 1\/4 cup Sauza Blanco Tequila<br>\n\u2022 1\/4 cup green onions<br>\n\u2022 3\/4 cup crema or sour cream<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/span><br>\n1.Toss shrimp with salt, green onions, lime juice, kosher salt and 3\/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper.<\/p>\n<p>2. Heat butter in a 12-inch heavy skillet over medium-high heat until foam subsides, then saut\u00e9 shrimp, turning, until pink and just cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>3. Reduce heat and add Sauza blanco, then increase heat to medium-high.<\/p>\n<p>4. Tilt skillet over gas burner to ignite tequila (or ignite with a long match; use caution, as flames may shoot up high). Cook, shaking skillet gently once or twice, until flames subside.<\/p>\n<p>5. Remove from heat and stir in crema. Serve sprinkled with chili powder.<br>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div>\n<!-- Print This Section 1 End -->\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><center><\/center>\n\n\n<div class=\"print-this-button-shell\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"print-this-button\" onClick=\"parent.location='https:\/\/mominthecity.com\/cinco-de-mayo-food-from-mexican-chefs\/?printthis=1&printsect=2'\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Print This!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/button>\n<\/div>\n<!-- Print This Section 2 Start -->\n<div class=\"print-this-content\">\n<p><strong>Slow Roasted Chipotle Chicken<\/strong><br>\n<em>(Courtesy of Chef Aar\u00f3n Sanchez and Sierra Mist Natural)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><br>\n\u2022 2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs<br>\n\u2022 1 large white onion, thinly sliced<br>\n\u2022 2 garlic cloves, minced<br>\n\u2022 2 chipotle peppers in adobo, finely chopped<br>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon ground cumin<br>\n\u2022 1 12oz can Sierra Mist Natural<br>\n\u2022 1 15oz. can fire-roasted diced tomatoes, with their juice<br>\n\u2022 Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/span><br>\n1. Put the chicken in the bottom of a 4- or 6- quart slow cooker and scatter on the onions, garlic, chipotle and cumin. Pour the tomatoes and Sierra Mist Natural over all and cover.<\/p>\n<p>2. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or low for 7 to 8 hrs.<\/p>\n<p>3.
