\nI have mentioned that I recently took an online Path Finder course that was led by Karen Walrond (Chookooloonks).\u00a0 I took the course that is described as \u201ca 5-week guided self study on creating your beautifully different life\u201d because I was at a career crossroads.\u00a0 Sean will be in full day school next September so the clock is ticking in regards to figuring out if I can sustain a consistently profitable work from home career or if I should go back to a more corporate work structure.\n

The interesting thing is that through the course \u2013 coupled with several offline conversations \u2013 I have decided that I probably won\u2019t be able to definitely figure out the answer to the work question until Sean is actually in school for the full day.\u00a0 As I pulled images together for my vision board reflecting what I wanted for the upcoming year, I was surprised that only one of the images had anything to do with work.\u00a0 Rather, they were more focused on family and friends.\u00a0 The four things that stood out was that I wanted\u2026<\/p>\n

1. (Even) stronger connections with my husband, kids and girlfriends<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. More pampering personal time<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. To live an \u201cinspired\u201d life \u2013 primarily doing what I love to do.\u00a0<\/strong> I\u2019m at that point in life where I would rather do nothing\/be still (even though it kills me) rather than to move forward simply for the sake of motion!<\/p>\n

4. To start building the foundation for purchasing a new home.<\/strong>\u00a0 Reggie wins.\u00a0 He has wanted to buy a home for a while, but I prefer apartment living.\u00a0 My views have changed due to a certain neighbor.\u00a0 I won\u2019t go into detail, because there are always two sides to every story.\u00a0 I\u2019ll just say that in a phone conversation, I allowed her to anger me to the point that I uttered, \u201cYou\u2019re lucky that I\u2019m a Christian. I\u2019m going to hang up the phone now so that I won\u2019t say something that I will regret\u2026\u201d\u00a0 (Now, I have been a Christian for over 17 years and no one has ever riled me up to the point where I felt the need to say those words!\u00a0 I\u2019m not saying that I haven\u2019t thought<\/strong> them, but still\u2026)\u00a0For that momentary lapse, I now have to hear Michael tell Sean \u201cYou\u2019re lucky that I am a Christian\u2026\u201d whenever he\u2019s playfully upset with him.\u00a0 Of course, he\u2019d pick that up! \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 In any event, it\u2019s crystal clear that we need to at least explore the idea of moving within the next couple of years.\u00a0 I won\u2019t be rash though.\u00a0 Ideally, I want to save up 8 months of living expenses and enough for a 20% down payment before making any moves.\u00a0 Also, people and situations can change for the better in a moment.\u00a0 Just in case they don\u2019t though, I\u2019ll be saving!<\/p>\n

This particular vision board (which I call my \u201chappy board\u201d), is filled with images of what I\u2019m aiming for over the next couple of years.\u00a0 While the words are literal, the images are representative of the happy feelings that the pictures evoke.\u00a0\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to see which visions turn into reality.<\/p>\n
