We love apples in my family. They are a go-to snack that my daughter loves thanks to their sweetness. I also love that they are packed with Vitamin C and dietary fiber.\u00a0That is why I\u2019m sharing this homemade unsweetened applesauce recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to being quick and healthy, apples are also extremely versatile to cook with and can be found in an assortment of pies, kinds of butter\u2026 and one of my favorites, applesauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since applesauce is essentially just apples with some mild flavorings, I try to make my own as much as possible and stay away from store-bought varieties that can be packed with preservatives and way too much sugar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this recipe, I used a combination of yellow delicious and Granny Smith apples from my local farmers market, some cinnamon, cloves and some almond extract that involved minimal cooking.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recipe even includes the peels, so the prep work is really minimal for a tasty treat that is ready in minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
