Last week, I attended a \u201cLadies Who Brunch\u201d event that was hosted by Sauza Tequila<\/a> and party planner Cathy Riva. The fact that the event was held in the evening added a special twist that I especially enjoyed. Sometimes, we have breakfast for dinner. Why not have a brunch in the evening? (I will definitely be borrowing that idea in the future!) Anyway, there were several great drink, food and decoration ideas that would be great to use if you\u2019re hosting a Mother\u2019s Day brunch at your home. For today, I want to highlight two of the four cocktails that were served \u2013 the Cadillac Rio Margarita and the Pear Ginger Fizz. The Cadillac Rio is an interesting twist on the classic margarita and would make a great Cinco de Mayo recipe. I also recommend the Pear Ginger Fizz in place of the standard mimosa for a special touch at a Mother\u2019s Day brunch. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

Cadillac Rio Margarita<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/u>
\n2 parts Sauza Blue Silver Tequila
\n1 part JDK & Sons O3 Premium Orange Liqueur
\n1 part lime juice
\n\u00bd part agave nectar<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/u>
\nShake all of the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled margarita glass. Garnish with an orange on the rim.<\/p>\n

Pear Ginger Fizz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/u>
\n1 part Sauza Silver Tequila
\n2 tsp ginger liqueur
\n1 part pear nectar
\n(Top with champagne)<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/u>
\nShake and strain silver tequila, ginger liqueur, and pear nectar into a champagne flute and top with champagne. Garnish with sugar coated pansy.<\/p>\n

Notes:<\/strong>
\n-There is a difference between pear juices bought at the grocery store. Thinner is better. As an alternative, you can also juice a couple of pears.<\/p>\n

-You don\u2019t have to garnish the drink with sugar coated pansy. You can simply rim the flutes with colored sugar for a special touch. <\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
